Timothy Sun

Saxophone

A graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Timothy Sun is one of most active saxophonist in Hong Kong and Macau. In 2001 became the first Chinese saxophone and clarinet student of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama under a full scholarship. He had also worked with clarinetist Julian Farrell and flautist Glen Martin and in 2006 completed his Master’s degree under a school scholarship.

As an orchestral musician, Timothy Sun has been a freelance saxophonist with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta and Macao Orchestra, and a member of the Macao Youth Symphonic Band and Macao Youth Symphony Orchestra. In 2010, he was featured as a soloist in Hong Kong Sinfonietta’s concert Sounds Great 5 – Summer Lovin’ and at a Macao Chinese Orchestra concert.
