Eric Man

Clarinet

Eric Man Kwun Chung started the clarinet at the age of 10, under the guidance of Martin Choy Kwok Tin. As a graduate from the Hong Kong Baptist University BA (Hons) in Music in 2009, Eric awarded Master’s degree of clarinet performance in the Utrecht Conservatorium in Netherlands, where he studied clarinet with Celeste Zewald, Henri Bok and Harrie Troquet. His teachers also included Anthony Wong, Pierre Woudenberg. He also attended masterclass conducted by Harry Sparnaay, Karl Leister, Michael Collins, James Campbell and Tim Reynish.

Eric was the winner of Chamber music competition in Utrecht Conservatorium 2011 and performed in the Royal Concertgebouw by Conservatory recommendation. After return to Hong Kong, Eric devoted himself to musical, pop and contemporary music. He performed in “Anita, 10, memory, concert” which live broadcast in J2 channel. For the contemporary music, he performed in 2013 Chinese Composers’ Festival presented by Hong Kong Composers’ Guild which broadcast in RTHK radio 4. Eric was the adjudicators of the 6th Hong Kong Students Open Music Competition organised by the Speech and Music Recital Development Foundation. In 2015, he played in the famous Broadway musical Hello Dolly
