Cindy majored in Cello performance with the highly reputable cellist Anthea Scott-Mitchell at the University of Newcastle, Australia for her bachelor degree in Music, graduating in 2008. Other cello qualification includes Licentiate of Trinity College (LTCL) Recital. She has also attained Grade 8 Distinctions in Double bass, piano and music theory with the ABRSM.
In her younger years, she was already a leader of the double bassist for the Hong Kong Youth Symphony Orchestra, performing alongside the likes of the world famous canton pop singer, Eason Chan. Her signature performance included one of the piece in her recital “The Suite for Cello and Jazz Piano Trio： Romantique” with the most famous Jazz pianist Terrance Koo in NSW for her recital in Newcastle, Australia 2008. Other notable performances, she has been a cellist in the Hong Kong Chamber Orchestra since 2009 and has been part of many performances with several world-famous musicians such as Howard McCrary, Brian Montgomery and Robert Vicencio in the concerts Musical Moment. Guest performance at the Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival. Furthermore, she attended a master class in Vienna in cello performance skill with Vienna Haydn Quartet cellist, Nikolai New in 2011.
She is currently a cellist participating in Hong Kong Chamber Orchestra, Hong Kong Festival Orchestra and Global Symphony Orchestra. Her recent performance including; being a cello principle in Yundi Li’s world tour concert at Hong Kong Coliseum in 2014; she also played with the world famous cellist Jian Wang in July and the King of Drama in Hong Kong Jim Sui Man for an innovative musical talk show took place in August; In 2015 she cooperated with singer Warren Mok and cellist Trey Lee. In 2015, she also performed under the baton of the greatest Russian conductor Vassily Sinaisky. The highlight in 2016 for Cindy was playing with the most popular tenor in the world Andrea Bocelli and soprano Maria Aleida Rodriguez in Macau.
