Benjamin Li is studying violin performance under violinist Chan Yong Ming, and had obtained Trinity ATCL Violin Diploma at an early age. Benjamin has been actively participating in various orchestras, including the Hong Kong Festival Orchestra and Gustav Mahler Orchestra, and is currently the concertmaster of City University Philharmonic Orchestra. He has also performed with distinguished musicians, including world-renowned violinist Joshua Bell, and composers Eric Whitacre and Tan Dun.
Benjamin emphasizes the building of violin foundation of students, and provides personalised learning materials based on the level of each student. Also, he encourages wider listening and discussions in the process of learning the violin, in order to cultivate their interest in music.
